History of the Trophy

This trophy celebrates the 1st International Judo Tournament organized by C.C.O.P. (Círculo Católico de Operários do Porto), on June 17, 1990. With simple and firm lines, typical of judo competitions of the time, it carries the value of being the symbol of a historic event, which marked the beginning of international exchanges and the recognition of judo as a sport of technique, respect and culture.
